Service Description
This in-person or online Yin yoga practice targets deeper connective tissues, like fascia, ligaments, and joints. Fascia is like shrink wrap around your muscles, bones, and organs. When one experiences physical trauma, emotional trauma, scarring, or inflammation, the fascia loses its pliability. Restriction creates a source of tension to the rest of the body. Trauma can be described as a fall, car accident, whiplash, surgery or just habitual poor posture and repetitive stress injuries. Restricted fascia will create misalignment, pain, inflammation, headaches, decrease oxygen to tissues, decreased blood flow, decreased range of motion, and impact emotional wellbeing. Through thorough discussion and alignment evaluation you and Lisa will establish a plan of action with the use of Yin Yoga poses that will specifically target area(s) of concern and breath. By deepening and lengthening the breath, we oxygenate the blood while increasing the flow of energy into more harmonious patterns of distribution. Yin poses will increase: Energy to the restricted area(s), Oxygen to the tissues and, Range of motion. As well as bring about an overall sense of ease and vitality. IF YOU PREFER ONLINE, PLEASE INDICATE IN THE "MESSAGE' SECTION WHEN BOOKING AND I WILL SEND YOU A LINK PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT.
