Yin Theory for Structural Integrity
Myofascial, Yin Yoga
Service Description
This in-person or online Yin yoga practice targets deeper connective tissue, like fascia, ligaments, and joints. Fascia is like shrink wrap around your muscles, bones, and organs. When one experiences physical trauma, emotional trauma, scarring, or inflammation, the fascia loses its pliability. Restriction creates a source of tension to the rest of the body. Trauma can be described as a fall, car accident, whiplash, surgery or just habitual poor posture and repetitive stress injuries. Restricted fascia will create misalignment, pain, inflammation, headaches, decrease oxygen to tissues, decreased blood flow, decreased range of motion, and impact emotional wellbeing. Through thorough discussion and alignment evaluation you and Lisa will establish a plan of action with the use of Yin Yoga poses that will specifically target area(s) of concern and breath. By deepening and lengthening the breath, we oxygenate the blood while increasing the flow of energy into more harmonious patterns of distribution. Yin poses will increase: Energy to the restricted area(s), Oxygen to the tissues and, Range of motion. As well as bring about an overall sense of ease and vitality. IF YOU PREFER ONLINE, PLEASE INDICATE IN THE "MESSAGE' SECTION WHEN BOOKING AND I WILL SEND YOU A LINK PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT. Testimonals: "I was able to do both shoelace and full lotus this morning. I had lost both of these postures in Feb. today my body slipped into them easily, securely and safely with no pain. In fact they were a delight. Like coming back home. The body knows how to heal itself if we are wise enough to give it a chance. I think your work gave my body the space to expand and let go. I’m so impressed and happy! So keep spreading this around! It works!" EH "YIN therory has been a helpful tool in recovering from hard training sessions as well as injury prevention. It has especially helped my hip and pelvic floor alignment." S
